Words with Wings

I would recommend this book to anyone, any age! It's poems work together flawlessly to tell a cohesive story.

The book was different because Nikki made a story using poem form. It was enjoyable, easy read, fun, lessons given and hopefully learned because there is a time a place for all things without stifling a child's light, creativity, expression and talent -- which has not been mastered as yet.

I've been a fan of Nikki Grimes' poetry ever since reading Bronx Masquerade; I love how she juxtaposes words and images. This is her second book I've read and once again, I enjoyed it a great deal.
