Essentially the Bible for tennis lovers. The titular essay (a gloriously meandering chronicle of Michael Joyce's qualifying efforts at the 1995 Canada Open) is the most famous, and rightly regarded as one of the best pieces of sports journalism ever written.

You've got to really love- A. David Foster Wallace's writing And- B.

I've often wondered what David Foster Wallace would have made of the fact that almost as many books have been published under his name since his death than during the 20+ years he was an active writer. Let's count them off: since 2008, the DFW literary trust has produced a slim volume containing his famous Kenyon commencement speech, doled out a sentence at a time like a self-help manual; an unfinished novel; an odds-and-sods grab-bag of uncollected pieces; a "greatest hits" career-overview doorstop that still managed to leave a couple of his best pieces out; and a totally unnecessary 20th-anniversary edition of his most famous book, Infinite Jest (replacing, of course, the 10th-anniversary edition).
